ABOUT ANDARINA DESIGNS

Andarina Designs was created in 2010 by designer Stacy Harshman. The original lamp concept, using colored glass rods, was conceived when Stacy came across some vintage glass swizzle sticks and was thrilled by the colors that shone through when the glasswas held up to the light. Stacy brought on collaborators including Rosanne Percivalle of 2D3D Design, Inc. and soon the original concept expanded into two full collections of table lamps, pendants and chandeliers, as well as large-scale custom work.

We were first inspired by the colors and traditional designs from Morocco, India and Asia. Stacy translated her love of Moroccan lighting with its spectacular gem tones, punched metal detail, and mesmerizing cast shadows into Andarina Designs' creations.

All our lamps and chandeliers are made by hand in the Andarina Designs studio, using glass, metal, and plexi sourced in and around New York City. We love to customize our designs, and to bring colored light to your special event. Think of them as practical dream catchers, stories told in light through colored glass.

Stacy Harshman, Owner

I moved to New York City in the summer of 2002 after leaving a small town in Illinois, then spending several years in Costa Rica, Spain and France.

I grew up in a family of designers, entrepreneurs and antique dealers. I've collected for years myself, and used to deal tribal rugs. I lived on the colors, patterns and history; the rugged beauty, meant to be used. And I loved matching the right piece to the right person, meeting and talking with customers brought me out of my shell. But I wanted to make things with my own hands, to add to the stories told by the world of beautiful objects.

When I began classes at a glass studio in Brooklyn, I immediately found ways to bring my ideas to life. Design is one of my many creative passions. I've also channeled inspiration into singing, writing, antique dealing and studying languages. I hope my inspired sense of cultures comes through in all my work, and I think of Andarina
